1200 quarantine bed capacity established in Budgam | KNO

Budgam, Mar 28 (KNO): District Magistrate Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai Saturday said that around 1200 quarantine bed capacity has been established at various places in the district besides other arrangements. According to wire service--Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the district magistrate said while chairing a meeting of designated nodal officers at district headquarter today in order to have a firsthand status of arrangements put in place to combat the requirements and other urgencies occurred due to ongoing covid-19 crises. The meeting convened maintaining social distance protocol in view. Regarding the arrangements the DM said to facilitate prompt response to public queries/ complaints and requirements, a 24x 7 control has been established at district headquarter, that will be manned by 2 probationary female officers as additional staff besides 4 officers will monitor the quarantine facilities established in 3 sub-divisions and 1 in the district headquarter for timely response and hassle free functioning of these facilities. He urged concerned to maintain proper registry of calls and action taken report. The DM directed the concerned to dump ration for 40 days at all quarantine centers and stressed concerned to ensure time to time food is provided to the persons presently under quarantine at these facilities. He stressed on the effective contact tracing to ensure prompt screening and quarantine of persons with travel history. He said that though there has been no positive case in the district, however, called upon the concerned to ensure no chance of any risk shall happen. The DM further called upon the Concerned Nodal Officers to establish 2 lunger facilities at Chadoora and Beerwah for migrant workers and ensure adequate supply of food grains kept available. The DM said that proper accommodation shall be provided for the officers designated for covid-19 duty for their stay in case they are unable to reach their home. The DM directed the concerned officers to visit all quarantine facilities and ensure all arrangements are in place at all locations. The meeting was attended by Nodal Officers including, Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, Reyaz Ahmad Shah, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Parvez Ahmad, ACR, SDMs, CMO, Tehsildar Budgam, Probationary Officers and other concerned -(KNO)
